Whole Wheat Bread

Whole Wheat Bread

1 cup scalded milk

2T molasses
2T honey
2T olive oil
1t. salt
Dissolve and mix in pan
¼ cup warm water
1T yeast
Soften yeast in warm water

  • Once the milk mixture is warm (not hot) mix both together in a mixing bowl.  Beat in 1 ½ cup whole wheat flour.  Keep beating until smooth.

Knead in 1 cup or 1 ½ cup more whole wheat flour.  Don’t make it too dry.
Rise double
Place in bread pan
Allow to rise, or put in cold oven and turn on the oven to 200 degrees.  Turn off oven when it is warm and leave the bread in to rise for 15 minutes.  Then turn up the oven to 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes
Makes 1 loaf
